A FAMILY TRADE ON
KENT ST.
Ray Gallant opened this shop in 1987 with a single barber chair, a steady hand, and a conviction that good work spoke louder than any sign in the window. Over two and a half decades behind the chair he built a loyal clientele — regulars who'd pass the shop number to their brothers, their fathers, their sons.
When Ray stepped back, he passed the clippers to his daughter Rhonda — who'd grown up sweeping floors here long before she ever touched a pair of scissors. She trained under Ray for years, earned her ticket, and eventually built a team she trusts completely. The street hasn't changed. The chair hasn't moved. The work is still the same.
Ray's Place runs first-come, first-served — no app, no booking system, no waiting room emails. Walk in, hang up your coat, and take a seat. It's always been that way, and it always will be.
